Determine Your Skin Type

Here's How to Determine Your Skin Type

Each of us has a particular skin type. Maybe your skin is dry. Perhaps it is oily, or a combination of the two. There are five basic skin types, each determined by heredity and your environment. Factors such as sunlight, wind, air pollution, diet, and stress make a huge impact on the look and feel of your skin. Before selecting the L'Bri Pure n Natural products that are best for you, determine your skin type. Which of the following best describe your skin:

Normal Skin is the goal of every skin care program. Normal Skin is like that of a child, not too oily or dry with few, if any, blemishes.

Normal Skin appears moist, plump, and dewy. The pores are small to medium in size. The skin is of medium thickness and even in tone. Normal Skin is soft, smooth, and firm with good elasticity. Key Description: Balanced.

For Normal Skin, order the L'Bri Gentle Skin Care Trio.

Oily Skin exhibits a shiny appearance and is usually thicker, firmer, and less sensitive to the touch than the other types. The pores, visibly more noticeable, are medium to large in size. Individuals with Oily Skin tend to experience recurring clogged pores, blackheads, whiteheads, and blemishes. Key Description: Overactive.

For Oily Skin with no break-outs, order the L'Bri Deep Pore Skin Care Trio.

For Oily Skin with break-outs, order the L'Bri Deep Pore Cleanser, Deep Pore Freshener, and use L'Bri Aloe Jelly as your moisturizer.

For Oily Skin that is excessively oily with blemishes or acne, order the L'Bri Deep Pore Cleanser, Deep Pore Freshener, and use L'Bri Aloe Jelly as your moisturizer. We also suggest using L'Bri's KlearAway lotion, which is specially formulated with blemish fighting ingredients to prevent new blemishes from occurring while speeding the healing of existing blemishes.

Dry Skin feels tight and may exhibit visible flaking. Often delicate and easily irritated, Dry Skin may be sensitive to cold weather. Dry Skin has the appearance of a matte finish, lacking sheen. It may be rough to the touch. The appearance of Dry Skin may be due to a superficial dry condition caused by exposure to sun, sea, air, wind, or pollutants. A superficial dry condition can be aggravated by using soap as a cleanser or by failing to apply a protective moisturizer. Certain skin diseases such as eczema, mild psoriasis, or atopic dermatitis can be mistaken for Dry Skin. Key Description: Underactive.

For Dry Skin, order the L'Bri Gentle Skin Care Trio.

For extremely Dry Skin, order the L'Bri Gentle Cleanser, Gentle Freshener, and Intense Moisture Cream.

Combination Skin Those with Combination Skin exhibit two or more skin type characteristics on various parts of the face. For example, the forehead, nose, and chin (known as the T-Zone) may be oily while the cheeks and around the eyes are Normal to Dry. Approximately 95 percent of individuals with Combination Skin fit this description. Combination Skin may involve an oily forehead, dry cheeks, but normal everywhere else, or skin that is normal in the T-Zone and dry everywhere else. Key Description: Asymmetric.

For Combination Skin, order the L'Bri Combination Skin Trio, which consists of the Deep Pore Cleanser, Gentle Freshener, and Gentle Moisturizer.

Sensitive Skin tends to overreact to environmental influences such as sun, wind, temperature extremes, and some cosmetics. Easily irritated, this skin type exhibits redness or a rash, itching, stinging, or a burning sensation. Sensitive Skin may develop distended or broken capillaries and allergic reactions. Usually sunburns easily. Key Description: Delicate.

For Sensitive Skin, order the L'Bri Gentle Skin Trio.
